Why does this our website seem choppy when I view it?

The pages don't load smoothly here like they do in other websites? Has anybody else noticed this. I have a new Acer computer with plenty of memory a good video card. Every site loads fine except this one. It seems jumpy and takes time to load, almost like it doesn't know where to 'focus'.

I agree it can be choppy, between pages. It does pop up quick for me. I'm using a new iMac. Bring improvement now, compared to what it use to be.

Agreed. Since the new redesign, it's buggier. It's all the advertising slowing it down. It's a disaster on my phone. Sometimes I have to refresh the page because the reply buttons don't work.

It's a mess on my phone too. It's also a mess my tablet, etch a sketch, and TV.

Sometimes when I try to post it just disappears. I'm using OSX 10.7.2 safari 5.1.2 (macs rule pc's drool)!

I just use my Mac to blog about last night's Sleater Kinney show while I'm drinking my super skinny triple shot half caff latte with chocolate sprinkles at the local indie coffee house with my ironic friends.

You are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT it IS all the ADVERTISING. I have watched the new software get slower and slower and then the final straw was the addition of the Facebook, Twitter, ad nauseum that caused it to get the herty-gerty jerk. They, Autoguide, have managed to make it just as unpleasant to use as the old software was.

There are ads here? I haven't seen a single ad since the day I joined the forum, I think it has to do with my customized browser and the filtering I have been using for years, I rarely see any ads anywhere I browse, I do notice the site has some slow downs here and there and other times it is as snappy as can be, guess there are several factors at play.
