    Fix it again . . . Tony.

I was looking forward to going on a camping trip this weekend but my 2 week old 500C decided it would rather not decided to tow it to the "studio" and let them take a look at it. The battery is fine but it will not start.

Surely, it's something minor. You'll be behind the wheel before you know it, I think.

Had you had any issues prior to your 500c not starting today? Did it 'click' when you turned the ignition key? Did you have lights, horn? Did you smell any burning wire smell?

There were 2 cars on the dealers lot. When looking. Would not start. Out of gas, or bad fuel pumps. Would crack, but nothing happen. Wouldn't turn over. Never did find out what was wrong with them. Good luck at the dealer.

This is a new problem, it started last night where I would turn the key the dash and headlights would turn on but the car wouldn't start. I thought it was a fluke because it took me a couple of key turns to finally get going but this morning the engine would not start. The 3 lights that were on the display were, Check Engine, Battery, and Oil light. I had a full tank of gas, the Battery was confirmed to have a charge and it only has 700 miles on it. Hope I didn't get a lemon

I didn't smell anything like burning wires.

The dealership gave me a loaner for the weekend but I won't get my car back until Monday when their service department is in.

    I'll keep you guys posted!

If something is going to go bad, better it happen now at 700 instead of 36,700.

Gotta love their warranty program. I found their roadside assistance service to be awesome by the way, didn't have to call AAA, Fiat took care of everything

By what i have read it sounds like the starter relay is malfunctioning, a simple repair or rather replacement and you should not panic about it.
If your dealer has decent staff they should have figured it out, there is also the fiat alfa diag. That interfaces with the ecu, your dealer should also have this and it will check all related components quickly and find the problem but it does not sound like they have looked at it yet.
These kind of problems are common for any kind of car, not just fiats, so dont worry, i am sure ultimately your 500 will take you where ever you want to go, even camping
    good luck

    good luck

Thanks Ferrarino, I'll get the car back tomorrow, one of the guys from the studio is driving it back to me and picking up their loaner. Talk about service! My main takeaway from this whole experience is that Fiat's roadside assistance and warranty plan is great so far. Sad that I missed a weekend with my new espresso bean but there will be other camping trips and weekend excursions.
