I wouldn't put too much stock in the article. Its about one car - a different car on a different continent. Have you found any other north american 500 owners that can relate with the same problem? I've not seen it posted in the few years I've been reading the forums on Fiats. We have a different drive train and different crash protection regulations regarding the build of the car if I am not mistaken, which may, when all tolled, equate to a more solidly built platform.

I'm on my second convertible. 36000 kilos on first one never a vibration til I got new wheels and tires. Had them balanced twice, all 4.
Still vibrated so I went back again. Diferent guy, and he comes out and says come see this tire is not perfectly round. Traded up to2015 Abarth c, love it, no vibrations ever. Done 140 klicks open and 170 closed.

Convertible is the only way to get this car. Sunroof noise is awful.

My car has not had any vibration problems and there is nothing about the soft top design that would lead me to believe there is an inherent vibration problem with them.
