Turbo cooler not running after shutdown

    2013 Abarth with 36k
I noticed that the last after the last two shutdowns i don't hear the whine of the cooling pump. What should I check or just set up a dealer appointment?

Probably not the case but some report they have driven slow and calm and not had it run due to already being cool enough to not need it...doesn't seem to happen often though best I can tell.

Thought the same thought. It doesn't kick in unless turbo is hot. My GTI did the same often - if I drove hard or for a long period of time, but drove gently for the last few miles of the trip so as to cool the turbo, the "after-cooling" wouldn't kick in. Could be that, or not.

Maybe he'll reply back sometime soon with more info so we know the outcome.

I have a 2013 turbo with 35k miles. If I don't run the car hard it won't turn on. Sometimes when I run the car hard and let it run for 2-5 minutes it'll still turn on after turning the engine off. I always thought the whining sound was taking the oil from the turbo.
