Yes I used a 12635 magnaflow at the rear (around $70.00) $40.00 to my muffler shop to install and I've got a 10425 (4" round 18" long) coming for the front, another $40.00 for the welding. I think that's about $220.00 all up and I end up with my own cat-back version that works just as well as the pro, except the pro is 100% bolt-on. I made my own short ram intake about the same way - cost just a little over 150.00 with a large injen filter.

That was a little rich for my blood so I installed a magnaflow 6" round 2 1/4" double offset (high at the top, low at the bottom) rear unit welded to my stock pipe. It sounds a lot better than stock and the HP gain was noticeable. The rear unit is your muffler, the front is the resonator. I still would like a bit more noise so will install another magnaflow front (4" round 2 1/4" in & out X 14") that should do it nicely for sound and performance. You can find a sample sound for the magnaflow system on you tube. you'll find it is rather deep sounding for a four cyclinder and pretty much eliminates the throttle lag your car came with. The best place/price I've found for magnaflow stuff is summit racing on ebay. Hope this helps.
On the magnaflow exhaust thread someone posted a price of $527 for the Magnaflow cat back system. That was at www.pro3i.com. They have a make offer provision. The poster said they offered $100 and the counter offer pro3i made was $527. A very tasty price if it's true. I'm not sure if that is an in stock item or something they have drop shipped to you from Magnaflow.

It's true, even if you place $1 in the offer, you'll get an email with the $527. I think shipping was free in the U.S.

I had the 18" X 4" round magnaflow installed on the front (although the stock resonator is also a straight through unit) what it did was shape the tone to a very nice one that sounds even better than before. It didn't do any more for the power of coarse but is well worth the price. I believe I now have around $210.00 involved with the whole changeover and I could not be happier.

I did the magneflow with a new tip. $210 out the door. I like the subtle change in sound. I do feel a difference in torque. I also notice in non sports mode, it changes gears faster. The car feels like it has some breathing room to perform. Custom exhaust discussion thread-dsc_0012.jpg

I know I'm going to get slagged for my opinion, but frankly, I don't care.
I am sorry, but this is completely untrue. I do not know why you feel the need to slam businesses that cater to the 500 like ours on every occasion. I at first just passed up your posts, but come on. Why the need to always slam a business just because they try to make a profit. That is why a business exists.

For your information we have and continue to invest every single dollar we make in to developing new products for the 500. Since our start every single dollar has been reinvested in our business so we can offer more products and options of our fellow owners.

Your comments about all this money going in to our pockets is simply not true. We are not multi millionaires cashing out by selling parts for the FIAT. We are a husband and wife team that started from their living room part time that have grown our business by taking care of our customers and by investing our life savings in to something we believe in and like. By countless 14-18 hour days we have grown from our living room to a full shop with a team of 10 dedicated people that are all car guys and gals that try their best everyday to do the right thing and take care of our fellow owners. Ask anyone that has met us in person and they will most likely agree.

As far as the MADNESS Exhaust... We designed this exhaust from scratch, we designed the muffler, the tips and every part of it. We made numerous prototypes to get it just right. The muffler and the entire system is all T304 stainless steel. The entire system is polished to a mirror finish and is designed to bolt right in without any modifications. We did not simply slap an off the shelf muffler on a pipe and Tripple or quadruple the price and are getting rich in the process.

We are selling the exhaust for $399.99! That is the lowest price of any true bolt on exhaust for the 500 anywhere. We think that is a very, very fair deal. As far as lining our pockets on the sales of this unit... We project it will take us about a year to simply break even based on what we invested in it.

So, please lighten up. We are owners and enthusiasts just like you and not some big, evil corporation that is out to gouge owners.

    Respectfully,

Boris , you have one of the best looking and sounding muffler and the price is considerably lower than what's available right now for the 500.
I'm still in the process of talking my self out of the 399.
And I wish your company the best of luck
