    January 2019 Fiat sales numbers

    261 units.... 500
    274 units.... 500X
    160 units.... 124
    56 units ..... 500L

This is the first time, the 500X out sold the smaller 500. Looks like the end of Fiat brand is near.
If Fiat belly’s up. I curious if the other FCA brands, will honor left over Fiat warranty work. Preform service too.

261 units per month only equates to about 3k units per year.

    That can't work.

Even all together, 700-800 units per month is less than 10K units per year.

    That can't work either.

There no mention of the new 2019 Fiat models, here in NA. They been out across Europe, for a couple months now. Fresh facelifts, safety, and electronics.

The times are getting harder for Americans. They should think again about buying small and cheap cars.

It think they should have stuck with the normally aspirated 500 and dropped the price by $1k.

Going with the Turbo and raising the price was wrong headed.

The 500 is not a MINI and doesn't appeal to the same customer.

If times get rough, why do you need a small car then? Why not just buy one single bigger used car that will haul cargo, a family of 4 and get through the snow? If life is getting harder for Americans, then why is this past month the worst sales ever for the 500? It beat out may 2018 by three less sales.

People are buying small vehicle. Like the Rio, Forte, Prius C, VW Golf, Mazda 3, Spark, Sonic, Fit, Mini, Veloster, Elantra GT, Corolla Hatch, and the Mirage. Many of them, are on their 2 and 3 generations.

Todays norm in cars, are more fuel efficient small crossover’s. The turbo 500 didn’t do well, sales wise. Back in 2013. Why they revamp, a poor fuel economy vehicle again makes, no sense. Better car offering out there.

Plus in Europe, the crossovers are all the rage. They are selling really well because they have lots of room compared to a 500 or an UP!. They give good enough mileage and they can haul much more. People do balance out what they need. For example, my Alltrack gives better mileage and is faster than mt Abarth. On the other hand, the Abarth is more fun to drive under perfect conditions. My Alltrack can haul a family of 4 without a problem and lots of cargo. In addition to that it has way more int the electronics and what I really like, paddleshift. As for more, I can haul the biggest roof box Yakima makes and even haul much more when I go camping or skiing.

If I was in hurtsville and needed to get a fuel efficient car and didn't have the Abarth or Alltrack, I'd buy a slightly used VW Jetta. It is faster and gives the same mileage as a 500 Pop. I can haul lots more in it and it makes for a practical if I needed only one car. my Abarth is great but in general, people like me are not going out and ready to buy another fun car because it's the same as what I have and mine is paid off already, plus it's used value is in the toilet.

I got the 500 because I needed a small car that was stylish, economical and reliable. I never saw the need to have the biggest vehicle I can afford, MPG be damned.
The only comparable vehicle was MINI Cooper and after having horrible experience with reliability with my last MINI, I wasn't even going to consider it

I hear about how cheap Fiats are but let's look at it this way, I'm in hurtsville and need a new car. i need something cheap and good mileage. I do like what everyone does today. I look up the Fiat 500 and find that the price is $16,495 for the base model. it gives 28/33. That sounds excellent. So then I look at a Nissan Versa. It costs $12,360 and gives 31/39. So you are telling me that a 500 that costs $4K more and gives about 4 mpg less is a better deal? I'm not seeing it. Where is it that the 500 is super cheap and economical.

I can understand if I was looking at a new VW Jetta that is $18,475 and only gives 30/40 mpg. I have to spend an extra $2k but I do get a 6 year, 72K bumper to bumper warranty (as compared to a 4 year 50K warranty). in addition to that, I get a full size car that can hold 5 people and a big trunk. Top it off the Jetta has 18 more hp.

This is what people do. If I can get a smokin' deal at Fiat, I can get the same at Nissan or VW because they have lots more dealers and there's competition. In the end, where are these Fiats that I can't find that are cheap and get great mileage.

Why not make a $10K twinair 500 that will give 50/70? That way Fiat will have a distinct advantage and then the Americans that are going broke will go for a smaller car because they can justify it.
