A little history on this car. Bought as a known non runner, probably hasn't been ran in months. Initially it wouldn't turn over, replaced a burned fuse and put in a new battery. Cleaned all grounds under the battery tray and replaced the one that goes from the frame to the engine (was in tact but just looked bad). Verified spark and oil level. Pulled compression as it now turned over. #1=45 #2=0 #3=115 #4=210 (this is reading left to right facing the engine). Also, the #2 spark plug was wet with oil. Not sure if this was the previous owner checking rings or what.
Saw a video on that the multiair is what controls the valves and needs oil pressure, so had my son turn over the engine to prime as I pushed down the small button inside the oil cap. Walla, she started. Now I am at the P0302 cylinder 2 misfire. It got late so I will pull compression again in the morning plus I want to use my boroscope to see down the #2 cylinder but can't find it.
My question is, does the multiair have a single solenoid to control each valve? I am wondering if the multiair could be the source of this misfire. I also will try and swap coils and see if it follows but with my initial compression check, I'm kinda doubting that. I am hoping it's not something drastic like rings.
forgot to add On my test run, got an ABS not working message and brake felt very hard to push, huge vac leak somewhere? Related?
Mileage: 84,445
Anyone have any input on this diagnosis so far?
Much Thanks,
Leo
