the engine turns over starts on 3rd attempt but miss fire's for 30 seconds and nearly stalls. it happens every time i go to start the car

Scan for codes. Could be a coil going bad. Temp related ? Does it start normally after warm ?

full service carried out 2 weeks ago this started 3 days ago

Lots of variables here. What is a "full service" ? What is your mileage on the car ? Did you possibly get some bad fuel ? The only way to tell what is going on if no codes are stored is to put a scope on the coil, injector, or the crank sensor pulses on startup.
