My wife’s 500x has been running fine then suddenly died and wouldn’t restart. All the warning lights come on like crazy (coolant temp too high, brake sensor, pretty much all of those pop up). Headlights are bright, all the functions like radio and windows work fine but when you hit the start button it gives like half a crank and that’s it. Load tested battery and it's good. Throwing codes U0100 and P0653. Can't figure out the connection between those two codes and I really need to get this fixed today. Frustrated. Any ideas?

When my little 500 did that. It had a bad battery. The dash board lights went crazy. Couldn’t lock the doors. Couldn’t Move the shifter out of park. The radio played.

Your car is under warranty still. Call the Fiat Care number. They will send a tow vehicle out. Tow your car to the nearest Fiat dealership. You will need the vin number of your vehicle, on hand.

Have you figured out what the problem is? Yesterday all of a sudden my car soundly start.. all the lights, ac, windows were working even the radio.. it’s not the battery. After a few attempts it started. This morning it took a couple tries to turn on. I have no idea what could be the issue. There are no lights turning on on the dashboard as far as engine work or oil or battery..

Goodmorning,
I own a 2019 Fiat 500x with a keyless start. Last Sunday my daughter was driving alone. Waiting in front of a traffic light she released the clutch pedal too fast so the engine stopped immediately and the EPB was then automatically activated. She couldn’t start restart the car and it couldn’t be pushed to the side of the road because of the activated EPB. With a growing queue of cars behind her and lots of stress she succeeded to restart the car again. My question is, what happened and what is the right restarting procedure in such a situation? Would you recommend to deactivate the EPB and put it on manual control to avoid such a stressful situation?
