I have a 2017 manual 500 pop, only 18k miles, that I purchased brand new. Over the last few months, I have had intermittent problems getting it in and out of gear, and after multiple trips to the dealer and two weeks of checking everything but the transmission, they pulled the transmission, and declared it a total loss(not due to user error).
It is under warranty, and they have said they will replace it, but Fiat Chrysler still-seven weeks since we first took it in- cannot say when the transmission will arrive at the dealer. They did send one to the dealer in late November, but they sent an automatic, not a manual. They then told us a manual one would be at the dealer on December 30th...and now, after it never showed, they say the delivery date is "TBD".
The dealer wants our car out of their shop, too- they have been as helpful as I think they can be, but Fiat Chrysler doesn't seem to be in any hurry to fix the car.
I know they aren't making them in North America anymore, so parts may be getting scarce, but I've been without my car for two months, with no end in sight, for an item that is under factory warranty.
The dealer and the manufacturer are not getting this resolved; we live in FL, where we have a "lemon law", but it only covers the first 24 months of ownership; any suggestions for getting things moving, other than contacting an attorney?
