I been noticing my front suspension makes a loose strut mount kinda noise driving over right roads at low speeds (sometimes high speed if it’s a big enough rut) but bumpy road low speed makes a loose rattling knocking noise. Perhaps the upper front mounts coming loose? Sounds like the noise is coming from above the strut.

I would check all the suspension & steering fasteners (nuts & bolts).

It could be something else, like a worn CV, ball-joint, or suspension bushing. Those are less likely to make you crash though.

Nope it’s the front strut upper mounts for sure it’s like loose or popping over bumps. How annoying at just 26k miles. Sounds like rubber knocking into the metal body.

Also, there's this TSB if you notice it while turning: Fiat 500 Steering Clunk Fix

My local Fiat dealership pointed it out when I brought it in for inspection, but said that if it's that particular issue that it's harmless.
Its not direct result of steering though, the sound comes any bump sharp enough to jar the suspension or unsettle it like rough pavement makes a annoying rubber mallet tapper sheet metal sound. I only tend to hear it driving straight.
