I've looked online and the replacement mileage most quoted for the cam belt is150,000 miles. That seems a loooong way for a 1400cc motor that spends most of it's life pretty revved up. Whats a good real world number?
How about the serpentine belt?
The car is a 2012 Pop with 80k miles on it. I would rather change it a little early, rather than later.
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Seems a real world number is still 150,000 miles. Time factor is 15 years. It's in your owner's manual under 'Maintenance Schedules".

These belts are rated for 180,000 miles which is why the factory/warranty/buffer number was set to 150,000

Our OM states timing belt at 152,000 miles OR 114 months, which is 9 1/2 years. Since we have 98,000 miles, we will hit the 9 1/2 years first.

Wow, according to the 91/2 year schedule i need to do my 2012 sport now, although I'd like to think I have much more time left as I only have 53,000 miles.
