I just bought a 2015 Fiat 500e second hand and the Tom-Tom was not part of the sale. I see this funky button on the dashboard and was told it was for a Tom-Tom. I use an iPhone 6 for NAV. Is there an after market product that adapts this Tom-Tom holder to an iPhone? Even if it just holds my smartphone for hands free navigation, that would be fine.

There was a mount in pre production or Crowdfunding which slotted into the Tom Tom recess for a cellphone, but it was portrait only, which made little sense to me as it obscures vision. Would have been interested in a landscape version and even gave consideration to designing one, but never saw that original idea again.

I searched around and found this for iPhone: http://snatch1.com/. I'm on Android and it wouldn't help me. It was in development and they had targeted 1Q 2015 ship date, but apparently still not available yet. I have my doubts about whether they will follow through, because starting with 2016 model year Fiat will have Nav on a built-in dash screen.

Hello All,

I am a 3D artist by trade and came up with a hack that uses a 3D printed part (my creation) that plugs into the existing TomTom mount hole. From that part, I connected a cheap ($20ish) off the shelf iPhone mount to complete the setup. Anyone that is interested can do the same. "Part A", the part I created, can be purchased at the online 3D the printing service " shapeways.com " (see links below) for around $50. I have been using it since buying my 2015 Fiat 500e this January. It sits lower than the TomTom so I find it a lot less obtrusive as well.

I have attached an image here, but I also have info on my blog:

You can buy "Part A" - the part I created here:

You also need "Part B" - iOttie Easy One Touch Car Mount - Model No: HLCRIO102:

*** Check iOttie specs to make sure it fits your phone.

Hope this helps anyone who is interested.

Nice design. Would be great, if it charged the iPhone too. Lot better placement then the OEM Tom Tom.

Ha! Thanks, maybe version 2.0! Luckily, the iOttie cradle has room to plug in the charger at the bottom of the iPhone - and charge via the USB input near the cup holder if needed.

My USB, is in the glove box. Really don't want a cord hanging out of there. There is power in the dash mount slot, if it could be utilize.

thats very cool. If you ever do a 2.0 with charging capabilities (I believe thats ll the connecter on the recess does as Tom Tom connects via Bluetooth) then I'll definitely purchase

If part B is the magnetic version, that will be great...
