I had a porsche boxster s awhile back, i wanted a deeper exhaust note and found a guy that modified the stock one for me, cost a fraction of a aftermarket system and looked like stock. he just removed a couple of the baffles to make it more free flowing. so im thinking of opening my can and taking a look inside...has anyone tried this.....

That's a big gamble... The thing is that the outlet of the stock exhaust is small in diameter. So I think that's where a lot of the restriction is at.

I removed the middle section and replaced it with a straight pipe and rear muffler with a larger magnaflow. The stock piping up to the rear muffler Is a good size. Any bigger and you lose back pressure and get a ricey overly loud exhaust note.
