I'm traveling to Italy a few times a year for business. We have an office near Torino and I usually stay for a week to 10 days at a time. For the last few years I have been renting various 500s from Hertz, who carries the Abarth models as well. So, on the weekend I log an average of 1500km driving wherever I can find good weather. Some of my photo highlights are below. Sadly, we don't get to have the facelifted 500 (and the awesome 595/695 variants) in N.America - even though some of those bits are ready to bolt onto the old. Enjoy the teaser...

They didn't have a 500 for me this trip - so I got this old thing.

Okay, not a rental, but how about this old timer? San Gimignano.

Awesome 595, and well used.

San Gimignano. I've seen this more than once - when you have an old Cinquecento, you get to park wherever you please in Italy. Police just look the other way.

If you're ever in the vicinity, I would highly recommend driving in the area south of Siena, around Montepulciano, around Pienza... Val D'Orcia. Can't go wrong.

Love the photos; when I was there a couple of months ago same region, I was amazed at the amount of old 500's I seen. Of course new 500's were everywhere; got love it
