I purchased this vehicle back in November and have had no problems with it and chilling is the battery post is corroded and starting to come out of the battery. So I switch the battery out and start driving it within a half hour. All the lights are flashing on the instrument panel, and the car came to a halt. I got a new battery and I will do is turn over but not crank. It doesn’t make the winding noise like a bad starter at all. It just kind of just nothing other than making a little bit of noise like I’m trying to sort it out. I know that I have some issues with the black wire harness because the back door stops working And I investigated and see where I have to spray some of the wires back together. They could this be preventing my vehicle from starting up. I have run diagnostic codes and received a P0658 indicating voltage issues. I don’t think that it’s the starter and alternator. Just because usually the starter will make a noise . So if anyone has any suggestions, I truly appreciate it.

Get a look at the ground strap under the battery tray. Those get corroded and cause wonky issues. Cheap and easy fix, and even if that doesn’t fix the problem you’ll be heading off future potential problems by cleaning it up and making sure your ground is good.
