Hi there,

I bought my fiat in December (2012 automatic) and when I was in traffic it went into N and started beeping and I had to try to shift it back into gear and restart the engine. It was fine after that an E symbol comes up next to the gear.

does anyone know what this means?

Honeybee, Since you look like your from the UK. What transmission do you have? The Duologic automatic. If so, that transmission, is it offered here in North America. You might wanna look that up in your owners manual. A European Fiat forum might be able to answer your question.

This is supposed to indicate "Eco" mode. Do you see a button (next to the gear shift handle) labelled "E"? If so, you may have pressed it inadvertently and selected Eco mode. Press again and the transmission should go back to regular mode.
