I've seen nearly all the pictures of the Gucci Fiat 500 and I'm liking it so far. It actually looks good, looks even better with the model posing with it in the picture below :D

It will be interesting to see how well the Gucci Fiat 500 sells. It will be a smart thing for Fiat to start giving away a few Gucci Fiat 500's to some celebs. Since we all know how well they can influence people to buy things, especially when it's a Gucci item.

The North American debut of the Fiat 500 by Gucci will be this Thursday during Fashion's Night Out in New York City. Expect the car to make a big splash in the fashion world. Fittingly, the exquisite Jennifer Lopez has come together with the elegant 500 by Gucci to film a commercial that will air shortly.

Meanwhile in Europe, the Fiat 500c by Gucci is on a tour of the most distinctive and posh areas on the continent. The 500c Cabrio went on sale in August, with deleveries to begin this month.

Take a look at the stylish tour below:

The European Tour for the launch of the convertible 500C by Gucci started officially on 19th August in Saint-Tropez. Place Celli, in the heart of the city, was the setting for the opening of the tour. A 5x5m glass cube branded 500 by Gucci was set at the square center and stayed on display until the 27th of August.

The "500C by Gucci" will be the star of an original tour that will stop at some of the most charming locations in Europe. The first stop will be at Saint Tropez (from19 to 27 August) followed by Berlin (8 - 14 September), Barcelona (25 September - 2 October), London (16 - 23 October) and Geneva (23 - 30 October). In Italy, the tour will start from Forte dei Marmi (22 - 28 August) and then reach Rome (4 - 11 September), Florence (19 - 26 September) and Milan (8 - 16 October).

A striking 5-by-5 metre crystal cube with elegant shiny black lacquered bottom and top will be set up for each stage of the tour. Inside, set like a precious jewel, an example of the exclusive cabriolet will be on show. At night, the installation will light up creating a suggestive atmosphere that will further enhance the elegant car and the prestigious location. The stage is completed by three small showcases displaying some of the articles in the "500 by Gucci" collection, which comprises travel accessories, small leather goods, track suits, bomber jackets, driving gloves, eyewear and a watch.

Like the saloon version before, an original advertising campaign has been created for the Fiat "500C by Gucci" in which the car features next to model Natasha Poly. The selected Fiat dealerships that will be displaying the "500C by Gucci" will receive copies of an exclusive lifestyle brochure created as a fashion catalogue and designed to bring out the class and one-of-a-kind nature of this extraordinary interpretation of the glamorous world of 500 in artistic photographs.

It might work on South Beach but not in rural Georgia...
The Gucci car is already the butt of jokes around here. Public ridicule, not admiration or desire.

MINI got on the map after the new car was the star of the Italian Job remake.
Put the 500 in a movie, sans the Gucci outfit. The car needs to display it's 'nads, not it's tiara.

Here's my idea for a commercial.

You get this guy to drive a Pearl Abarth (with the red/white/green stripes) into a bullfight arena (super model passenger) and come to a sliding sideways stop. He gets out of the car, stares the bull down, the bull drops to its knees, dude bows to the crowd as they cheer, he gets back in the car and drives away.

Like the wheels. Nice video. Aimed for the youth.

Wonder next, if Fiat will come out with the Levi's edition? I can see a denim interior.

Being such a unique looking car it will catch on with celebs and such easily, adding the Gucci name just makes certain it will do so more quickly and for what a celeb would consider a more "valid" reason to own it. For the most part I am indifferent about it but a do slightly lean towards it being a little silly.

I've never been a big fan of Gucci and definitely wouldn't want the green and red Gucci stripe on my car. Besides, why would I want to advertise for Gucci for free, no thanks.

It's not for free; that's the kicker. You pay them to wave their logo around.
