Here's the first official Fiat 500 commercial. Not the best car commercial i've seen, also not the worst.

I guess it's good for an intro, but I'm hoping it's followed up by something more substantial about the car itself. I was half-expecting it to be a Dew, Nike, or Viagra ad until the car was actually shown.

First post here, btw. Woo woo! :)

I'm also hoping Fiat will come out with another promotional commercial that's better then this. It needs to be on point, performance focused and a tour of the car with some eye candy :D

BTW....Welcome Tommy!

You guys need to remember that when Fiat left the North American market years ago they didn't have the best reputation when they left. Everyone remember "Fix It Again Tony"? I think they did the commercial pretty good and didn't overdo it. They should wait for the market to accept them again before they go for a real push in the market.

Well, they definitely deserved that reputation.

I'd prefer that they go balls to the wall like Mini did when they entered the US market. Since they have gotten such good reviews in countries where the car has already been introduced, there's nothing to fear, other than US fatties not being able to fit, of course.

Who you calling fat? I'm 5'10 and 220.......;)

BTW I rode to the Cocktail Party in a 2009 Mini S as a passenger. My friend John 6'3", 200 lbs said he found as much if not more room in the 500 as his 2009 Mini. We both liked the car very much. We are very much gearheads and members of PCA. I'm a member of the 356 Registry and Early 911S Registry so we know and live with quality. The fit, finish, layout and overall feel of the 500 is as good if not better than ANYTHING out there in the market at the price point. Remember this is an economy sub compact. The Pop at $15,500 price point will kick butt on any of the others out there.

I"m very glad I'm waiting on Prima #241 to add to my stable of cars. I plan on using it as my personal daily driver replacing my 2007 VW Passat 2.0 Turbo. When the Abarths arive in the USA My wifes 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid will be a thing of the past and she will drive the Prima.

Excited.......nope not me!
