I've come to have the opinion that Tedolph is not a bad guy at all, but rather more like your weird uncle who shows up at Thanksgiving and says all sorts of things that make everyone groan a bit. Kinda weird, but entertaining!

Yes, it is not for everyone.
But thanks to the free 12 days of free rental cars per year I've done really well. I didn't even
use all the free rentals.
If I really, really want to drive a long distance, I can easily rent even if I have to pay.
I like my 500e so much every day that I don't think of it as a sacrifice.

So I agree, for lots of people this car would not work as a primary vehicle.
For some, it would not work as a secondary or tertiary vehicle.
But there are some where it just works.
Let's acknowledge that everyone has different needs.

BTW....I wanted the Tesla model X (for my husband) but I didn't order one.
It will take years and years to get one.
If we didn't have a rather large dog, we'd have a second 500e.
As it stands we have a Nissan Leaf.

I can't begin to compare the two.
I'm sad every time I drive the Leaf.
And then overjoyed when I get back in my Fiat.

The Leaf has to be one of the ugliest cars on earth.

But then again, it is French!

Tedolph
Hehe, yes, it is ugly. And slow. I'd never buy it for myself.
But I'm the car nut in the family.
I'm considering maybe, maybe buying a motorcycle.
But not due to range anxiety.

Fiat loses money, but who doesn't do it nowadays?) I can tell you about my experience in earning easy money. Don't think that you will be against. I didn't believe me friend when he said the you get paid to play games or pass online surveys. Of course these 100-150 dollars aren't enough for life, but it really can help to do monthly online shopping. Hope that you are interested and ou will try it. And thank for for the such interesting post.
