I want to start a tread of high mileage users. We are the sharp edge of the spear as far as reliability and durability issues are concerned. Unfortunately if something on our 500s is going to go wrong, or go right, it will probably happen to us first. We can serve as an early detection segment of the forum.

I think the the posts should be

Total miles on the odometer:
Estimated miles per year:
Vehicle update:

Also if you drive an inordinate amount of city miles that would be useful as well. Just notate that they are city/traffic miles.

I will start:

13,600 miles on the odo
25,000 miles estimated per year
The car runs and drives flawlessly

14,210 miles on the odometer, 7 months old
26,000 miles estimated per year
Changing my MAP sensor tomorrow, considering the mods, all is good.

25000/year est.
No problems. I have noticed the paint on the front end seems to be chipping a bit more than I expected.

Sounds like you got a lemon, which is a total bummer!! When was the build date on your car? I hope you have a better time with the Mini. I would call you a traitor, but I completely understand because I don't think I could have been as patient as you from reading your thread.

Good luck...

That's a shame. I hope you don't encounter one of the dozen major issues documented with those cars.

I'm wondering about this as well. About a week after I picked mine up, I noticed a slight ripple on the passenger side about 6" behind the door handle. I thought it was a dent, but then I noticed a few other cars at the dealership with roughly the same ripple in the same location. I wonder if it would be worth it to bring it up.

I don't think I'm the highest miler on this forum. These mileage threads come up every so often and there are usually a couple of people in front of me.

Car has been fan-flipping-tastic so far.
