2012 500c Lounge

Rosso Brilliante exterior
Bordeaux ragtop
Rosso/Nero leather seats
Premium alloy wheels
TOMTOM navi
Compact spare tire
Engine block heater
Chrome sill guards

Took delivery on Saturday the 26th. Purchased from Classic FIAT in Mentor, Ohio (Cleveland area). Just over 300 miles on the road. I admire it more and more every time I drive it. Handles the lousy Cleveland streets far better than my MINI Cooper S convertible and the Honda CR-Z I traded in. Peppy. Smooth, responsive steering. It's just plain F-U-N to drive. Ahhhhh.

If I have any buyer's remorse it's that I forsook my color of choice -- Rame -- because there wasn't a Rame within 1,000 miles with TomTom. Alas, my experience thus far with the TomTom proven to be... um... disappointing. But that's ANOTHER story.

Pix (yesterday, a gray day, before the rains arrived)...

Great colors!!! Vvvrrooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Congrats on your new car. So you traded in a new CRZ.
Congrats! Love the color, I have a Rosso Brillante Lounge...too bad I'll be giving it up since the same color is not available on the Abarth so on to black. Ironically I initially wanted the Lounge in black.

The red seats will get dirty pretty quick, my wifes Bianca Perla has the red and white leather seats and it seems to pick up the blue from her jeans. Cleans easy though, i used McGuires leather cleaner and treatment and restored it back to original in no time.
There is a lot a like about the CR-Z, smark, but my four-legged son was beginning to have issues with getting into the cargo area. Since CR-Z was seemingly designed for the back area to be used for cargo, it was hard for my guy to maneuver into the small space behind the passenger seat and then step up to the unusually high cargo area. And while the jump down from the hatch was no issue, the hump up was. Since the 500 sits low to the ground and he's stepping up to a regular-height bench seat, it's a lot easier for him. I can tell he's a bit confused, though-- he clearly recognizes the similarities to the MINI so he's wondering why his back windows aren't rolling down. He'll learn.

Thanks for the cleaning tip. Especially since the back seats are occupied by an 85# long-haired dog, I imagine they'll need some ongoing maintenance. Although my green leather seats in my MINI Convertible held up extraordinarily well and required minimal upkeep. I'm hoping for a similar experience with the 500c. My seats are actually the Rosso/Nero leather. I stayed away from going with light-colored seats or dash because I feared they'd look dirty most of the time.
