I don't know why an oil P issue would prevent it from starting.

Seems like the Studio is just making things up.

If you don't have sufficient oil pressure in the multiair sys the engine will NOT start. My 2016 Sport made a fool of me recently and it's the 4th FIAT I've owned. I had the same problem with my Abarth and knew what the fix was and got the Abarth started.

If you let the multiair engine sit idle (no start) for an extended time, in the last case approximately 1 month you have to crank it for an extended time for the oil pump to build up sufficient system pressure for the intake valves to work. I had a terminal case of dumba$$ and forgot that and called AAA thinking there might be a battery problem When it starts after sitting it 1st sounds like it's running on one cylinder then 3 and finally all 4.

Normally if it has been sitting for an extended time I'll crank it for about 10 seconds then turn it off for a short period and then crank it again.
