Also, are you saying there's an OEM auto-dimming rearview mirror which can replace the manual one that comes with the base "inspi(RED)" model?

Yes it is compatible. I had pulled wiring from Stellantis IOSP and it is basically a two wire install under the mirror, I can send copies of it as well.

As for the lemon, it was due to time spent for repairs. The carplay/radio was broken, they replaced parts upon parts and took 4 months in the shop.

 

Thanks for the details. I never would have guessed a car would be "lemoned" by a head unit, which I'd think would be a widely shared part.

I can't help but wonder if it was just a computer glitch that they haven't figured out how to clear yet. They still haven't figured that out for a 2013-19, even after 13 years to learn it, during which we've figured it out on our own just by trial & error.

Yeah, in the pre-2020 they tell customers the main drive battery pack has suddenly died & it's $56,948.93 to fix it, even when all it needs is a $5 crescent wrench to disconnect the 12V battery for 5 minutes.

A dealership near me knew less than the AAA driver, about how to get one out of P with a dead battery, even though it's right in the little handbook that comes with the car.
