In my La Prima, first registered in April 2021 and probably built around 3 months earlier, MES 5.1 identifies 13 ECUs and their hardware and software versions as listed in attached file.

It only reads parameters from the ABS unit. Also it doesn't allow error codes to be reset. No doubt, in common with other recent FCA cars, the 500e has a Security GateWay (SGW) which means that MES is limited to read-only.

MES found 10 errors codes, none of which are causing any errors to be displayed in the car. I'm not aware of any faults in the car. We'll see how many things change after the next routine service.

I just checked my car & it showed eleven error codes without an error display or any apparent malfunction.

I guess I "win"?

...MES 5.1... only reads parameters from the ABS unit.
I was trying to download MES a while ago, & it failed twice but worked today. Lesson: Don't give up! But now I forget what I wanted to check .

It shows not only ABS but also when you select "Engine" it shows:

"Battery pack control*
Electric vehicle control Continental
Integrated dual charger"

* That's where we've been getting the most useful data for the 1st-gen car.
Also it doesn't allow error codes to be reset.
Not even with the paid version? Multiecuscan.net shows that none of the modules are "supported" by the free version.

In FCA cars with the Security Gateway function, the car only allows MES to connect read-only, whatever version of MES one has. All FCA cars introduced or updated since about 2018 have an SGW.
Only dealers or indies with WiTech2 or with expensive equivalent equipment can clear error codes on an SGW car.

CarScanner also already has support for the new 500e and it works pretty well! I just don't like the way it shows the KW. For example when charging instead of showing for example -34kw it shows -1.3kw

I've tried CarScanner on my 500e as well as the current MES version, MES 5.1. CarScanner has some advantage over MES in that it does capture data which MES doesn't.

However, CarScanner gave me no info on the 500e's ECU hardware and software versions which is what I was keen to check.

I'm hoping that the next MES version will capture data from all ECUs.

since about 2018... Only dealers... can clear error codes...
That would suck big-time on the 1st-gen. Many of our cars have had false-alarm error codes which cause failure to start, when there's absolutely nothing at all wrong. Once the codes are cleared with a $17 dongle & free AlfaOBD it works fine. Dealers here charge up to $600 just to run an OBD scan!
