This is a video of some factory defects on previous Fiat and Alfa Romeo cars. Its worse than the "sticky pedal" situation with Toyota. All of the affected models have been fixed already prior to this video being released. Also the parts manufacturer Hella declined to comment as this was a part that they supplied to Fiat and Alfa Romeo.

wow thats really scary. you wouldnt even be able to step on the brake because the gas pedal is blocking it....... good thing to know that they fixed it already.

Horrible design flaw, its a good thing this has been recalled but of all the recalls to happen. I worry when a recall effects stop or go, this hits both at the same time!

Fiat and Alfa Romeo handled this one pretty quietly. Apparently they didn't acknowledge the defect until after they fixed it already.

Interesting way to save face. Fix it then admit you did it and dare people to find the flaw. Well atleast they caught it and didnt end up neck deep in messy recalls and class action law suits.
