Well, one Italian has left the family and another one joined. This makes so that I have currently 5 motorbikes, two of them Italian, and none of them run.
Gone is what was the only running bike in my garage...899 is painfully beautiful, but also painful on the long ride, and painful to work on.

Taking over from baby Panigale is one of my most favorite motorbikes ever. It's a lot rattier than it looks.

And it looks like this right now - waiting for the valve shims.

Just did the carburetors (what a beautiful word, 'carburetor'), fuel pump/filter, belts and bearings, on and on and on, overpaid for it and spending too much on it. Hoping to get it up and running in a couple of weeks...super excited.

Ho appena fatto i carburatori (che bella parola, "carburatore"), pompa / filtro del carburante, cinghie e cuscinetti
... even prettier.

It helps get me in the right frame of mind for Italian tinkering.
