On two occasions now, within 2-3 minutes after a cool start, and driving downhill, the overheat symbol and buzzer come on. It lasts for about 5 seconds and the temp gauge goes to the top and then instantly back to the middle and stays there.
I know the Volvo 142's use to do this, in much the same manner. It was due to a proclivity to form an air bubble in the coolant which as it traversed the sensor would give a false reading for a very brief period. I just wondered if I am the only one to have this happen (twice in three days). The manual does not mention it. Thanks.
