Does anybody know if our stock muffler is chambered or fiberglass packed/straight thru design? How would it sound by deleting the midpipe resonator? Would it be raspy? Or would it just increase the exhaust note.
I would hope that the muffler is chambered... i assume it is only because of the size of it... i know for a fact that the resonator is straight thru/packed with fiberglass. i noticed that resonator was quite large on this car, for a small car i mean so i does restrict quite a lot of noise. Before deciding whether or not to take out my resonator i drove around with just the performance muffler that i installed. I then got the resonator taken out just because you could tell it was blocking sound and now that i did it i am happier than ever. As far as your question goes about how it would sound. If you are asking how it would sound with the stock muffler i cant be any help but i know that my car sounds good, no annoying raspy sounds at all.
