This is a killer engine design, what sold me on buying the 500. This video helps explain how it works.

I've been trying to explain this to a thick mechanic friend too, who says all vvt systems basicly work the same way. HA! I'm sending him these vids now.

Lots of people have been doing this , Even Cumings Diesel offered MVT (Mechanical variable timing ) B4 the age of computers in the late 1970s early 1980s!
Porsche has gone about this in several different ways too.
I am sure they have all dabbled in the science if adjustable cam shafts.

MultiAir is NOT the same as an adjustable angle camshaft.

Each intake valve is individually controlled and can even open twice during one intake event.
