Doing a bearing change on the rear drivers side, the calliper carrier bolts are allen key heads, and wanted to change them to HEX heads for easier disassemble for disc replacement etc. Was wondering if anyone knows the part number or where to get the HEX bolts? (UK)

Hi,
The caliper hex head bolts were used on the earlier 500's so you should find the part number from any Fiat dealer if you ask and quote to them an earlier standard car. I suspect the bolts are likely 10.9 grade so be careful just looking for something off the shelf that fits.
However you still cannot remove the top bolt and replace with a hex head without slackening off the whole hub. It is a PITA as probably only a few mm in it but the top one still will not pass the support bracket corner. I have heard of owners grinding the corner off the bracket and then the allen key will fit on the top bolt. Not something we wanted to do. The lower bolt access is not a problem. In the end with ours we kept the allen bolts and ground down an allen key to fit in the small gap but also had to use some special tools we have known as 'super wrenches' which grip over the head. Torqing to any correct figures was just impossible so just judged them very tight.
