I just purchased a used 2016 500e. I believe it has a 4-year warranty. If that's the case, when do you start counting? Date of first sale? Thanks in advance!

This is a useful application for warranty information.

If you register with mopar.com, it'll ask for your VIN. Enter this and you can see service information, download manuals, etc for your specific car. It even has a picture of my car sitting on the dealer lot.

The High Voltage battery warranty is 8 years, 100,000 miles.
The body also has some different warranties too. 5 years for some 500e specific body parts. Like the side skirts and spoiler.

Where did you find that? I don't see it in the warranty book. There is a 5 year corrosion warranty on exterior metal body panels.

I'll have to look, FCA showed it to me a few months ago, when I inquired about all the 3m tape failing on my side skirts and spoiler.

I read something about Fiat extending body warranty repairs for side moldings coming loose. IIRC, it doesn't cover separation caused by improper jacking. I didn't know it covered spoilers. (They are held on with an epoxy that takes an air chisel to separate.) The posts didn't give the service bulletin number, so dealers might not be able to locate the extension.
