My 2024 Fiat 500E: Small Size, Big Fun! | Full Review

Very nice vid, but it seems to need a few corrections & clarifications:

  • Charging current is kilowatts. It's not "kilowatt hours" like he keeps saying. kWh is a capacity measurement, not current.

  • Like most reviews, it fails to note that even in "Sherpa" mode:
    • Full power & full speed are of course available for safety when you floor it.
    • Climate turns off initially, but you can turn it back on manually.

  • Only Canada gets the seat heat he mentions on the base "RED" trim level. To get seat heat in USA we're limited to paint that's black, rose-gold, or pastel blue only, with dirt-magnet-white seats & steering wheel, for $3500 more. For a trim feature comparison chart, click here.

  • Since disk brakes aren't needed, due to regen, drums are actually better since they're lighter, in a place where weight matters more: Rotational and unsprung mass.

  • Based on my 1st-gen experience, there's a huge difference between taking someone for a ride in one ("meh"), & letting them drive it (😃"Wow!").

  • High seating position is a benefit for vision in city traffic.

I made that review with my own btw. Nobody cares about Sherpa mode as its useless and why manufacturers still offer them is dumb so not worth talking about as nobody is going to use it. Seating position is the thing I dislike the most about the car.

I am sorry i got a couple things wrong. I am human and film these on my own. There is lots of info to remember.

No biggie. Just a few minor points.

Doesn't sherpa mode give stronger motor-braking than Range mode? Some of us prefer that, in other EVs where it's adjustable.

I noticed the vid shows no caps on the charge sockets. I'm spoiled by the 1st-gen where I just open the flap & plug in, so I find the caps on other EVs rather annoying. I'm curious if you removed them & found that it's fine without them.
