A friend of mine has a 2012 Sport with a 5 speed and occasionally after shifting the clutch pedal will stay planted to the floor. With a little effort with your hand or foot you can pull it up. I drove her car around the neighborhood shifting at least 50 times and couldn't duplicate it. I got in vehicle with her and right off the bat it did it. I didn't see anything wrong with her technique. The car has 3300 miles on it and she has owned it for 5 months. Has anyone else had this issue?

I'd say floor mat. If not, park it with it stuck and have it towed to the dealer.

The mat is not in the way and I checked the return spring and seems OK. My friend is from Italy and her English not that good, so my wife and I are gonna call dealership for her tomorr and demand they come get car and give her a loaner. I told her it wouldn't be safe to be out on open road with such a problem...especially with kids in car.

It happened to me on a car with 450 miles on it, had to pull the clutch pedal up with my foot, immediately after it was difficult to shift the car into any gear. I read on another thread that there were issues with the clutch slave cylinder. Have your issues been resolved? What was found to be the problem? I have lost trust in my vehicle and am contemplating just taking the loss and trading it in vs taking a chance of either myself or a family member being hurt or even killed.

It is definitely something that should be checked by a qualified mechanic. Fastgas if you don't trust your car you have to do what you have to do but why not give them a chance to resolve the issue? Trading the vehicle seems like an expensive solution.
