So what does the 2015 cup holder look like?

 

I just sat in a new 2015 Abarth. The new console is really nice. Not sure it would be worth it to change out. Would have to have up graded wiring to. Good Luck with your project.

The new speedo is really nice too.

 

 

looks like that is an upgrade alright. probably not that hard to change over to.

 

Although, there's more electronics in the newer version. I've also heard it's no picnic even to just remove the old plastic piece. If someone tries it, though, I'd be very curious to hear how it goes.

 

I've removed all of those plastic bits and did a write up on how to do it... use the search function.
Not so bad to take it all out, but adding in functionality to the new USB port would be a PITA.

Now, I just need to find out if the '15 version is a straight swap, and what it would cost to find one... I'm ok with USB being dead for now.

 

I've had that part out of mine, it's not that bad. I did it to add a usb port into mine about a year ago. It doesn't link to the radio, it's just a power port for phones, gps and etc. I'm wondering what the new one will cost and how long before they even have a part number to order

 

Has anyone done this yet? I've had my 2013 Fiat 500 for only a month and I've about had it with the almost-unusable front cupholders.

 

I was under the impression that the cup holders were specific to the Abarth, at least going back a couple years now. Doesn't mean you can't change them, just that I'm not sure it's on all new models. I do like them better than what my Sport has.
