Speaker wiring help

So I'm adding a Line out converter, and the issue i'm having is. I really don't want to take off all the plastic around the rear speakers. The wiring runs down by the door under the plastic. Can I just cut the wiring there and splice into it and solder my connections. The other issue I'm having is, I found the wiring diagram on here but it was for the Bose. Is it the same color for the pop with a base system? Orange, and dark green? Thanks.

Did you ever get a reply to your question? I have the same issue myself in trying to research how to install a line out converter. I have found very little on the internet....hoping you have some info to share. Thanks!

Have everything off, key out of ignition and a good idea which wires go to the speaker.

Take a 9volt battery and touch the two wires you think are the speaker leads. If correct you will hear the speaker. It will make a mild pop. There is not enough power to blow the speaker.

If you can see the speaker that is best. If it moves out then you have the correct positive and negative wires. If it moves in you have the polarity reversed.
