Started to happen on my car around 85,000...when I had my fiat at the studio for a repair I was told the software update to fix it is only good until 80,000...I chose not to pay the dealership any more of my $ and am thinking of just putting electrical tape over it until my next deductible is taken for a future repair that is covered under my extended warranty.

What does a blinking odometer mean, if anything?

Bought a fiat 500 few weeks ago with flashing odometer and non functioning Bluetooth. Tried disconnecting battery, but did not work. Replaced the blue&me module under the glove box with one from junk yard, blue tooth and USB work now but flashing odometer remains. Old module was hot/warm when removed (two three hours after engine shut off) hence the source of battery drain is found.

Hello, I just went through this same issue last week and fixed it. You have to do a Proxy Alignment to get the Body Control Module (BCM) aligned with the various components of the car, such as the Blue and Me module, so that the odometer stops flashing.
The proxy alignment was easy, and took a few minutes once I had the equipment and app.

Can someone PLEASE recommend a trusted, reliable U.S. source for the "Yellow OBD Adapter" our cars require? Many of the adapters I see for sale on Amazon and elsewhere have VERY poor reviews, including reports of adapters that are wired wrong and some that don't work at all. Prices vary a lot...
