Beats Audio Amp pics?

Saw a couple of posts about issues with Beats Audio.

There was a pic of an Amp but I could never find a definite answer on whether the pic was a Beats Amp or the standard amp. What is the Beats Audio Amp suppose to look like?
Could some one take a pic of their Beats Amp? Part numbers?
I'm thinking I don't have the correct Amp.

I've got all the speakers (blue color) Beats logo on the tweeters and sub and a black box where the Amp is (no Beats label) but it just doesn't sound very good, I've been trying to adjust settings on the HU and EQ on the iPod. Everything still has little to no low end and way to much high end.

Just trying to make sense of it all before I take it to the Studio.

Help is appreciated :)

Sorry, wasn't talking about opening the Amp up.
Was just trying to find a way to confirm if ive got the correct Amp.
If the Bose and the Beats Amp's look identical, then it may come down to part numbers. Ill try to get a picture the label.

I thought the Bose Amp was under the passenger seat? With the Bose sub being in the hatch as pictured.

The Beats sub is on the left, with the amp on the right?
So the Bose Sub is now used to hold the Beats Amp??
I must be all confused....

Pictures of Beats amp in Abarth

After careful reading of this cautionary post by jesterotl in response to question by PassiveJay,

It pulls straight off. But, it takes some finesse or you'll break at least one of the posts that connects the cover to the mount. If you haven't done it before, please don't on my account as I wouldn't want to be responsible for encouraging you to break your cover!

The best technique for pulling it off is to wedge your finger under one of the bottom corners and one of the top corners on the same side (either toward bumper or toward the front of the car) and gently apply prying pressure away from the side of the car, alternating between the top and bottom to get a rocking motion going. After doing that for a bit you'll either a) release one of the side posts so you can move on to the the two top corners and rock the top post loose then pull away the final 3rd post or b) break one of your posts :)

I've already broke one of my posts in my first attempt removing the cover (wish someone told me how to do this versus "just rip it off you whimp" technique I was told to use. Ha! :)) But, now I'm able to get them off quickly and cleanly.
I carefully removed the cover of my amplifier in the hatch that sits on the opposite side of the Beats-labeled subwoofer.

The first picture shows the inside of the amp cover, indicating where the three posts are to aid you in knowing where to pull to remove your own.

The second and third pictures show the amp... no Beats label, only a FIAT/Lancia/Alfa trio of logos and the indication of a part number and "Supplier 26777Q." Search of the internet indicates "Supplier 26777" has been affixed to amplifier boxes in Chryslers, Jeeps, and the like at least as far back as 2007 (before there was a Beats!). The picture also shows the three slots into which the three posts of the amp cover are placed. If you look up the part number, you find it listed but shown as "no longer available" on FIAT websites. If you are of a Russian persuasion, you can also find it here (anyone know what it says??) http://www.parttrade.ru/search/05091802AC/449/

Kayandjohn,

Thank you sooooo much for the picture of your amp!!! This answered some critical questions for me!

I have the Alpine amp and it looks almost identical to yours, so my hope is that if I happen to find a Beats amp and drop it in, it will bring my dormant subwoofer to life.

We shall see!

Nathan, if you are upgrading your speakers (per your other thread) do not buy the Beats amp. It is designed to work with the factory speakers as a system. Buy a quality amp (which the Beats isn't) to use with your upgraded speakers. The improvement isn't subtle.

Fair enough. I definitely prefer the route if a proper amp and speakers.

The reason I'm considering things like the Beats or Kicker amps is in case the head unit output is not close to flat. In that case those solutions built for our cars may handle it better.

Not just the grill for the subwoofer, but the subwoofer itself. This photo from my car is from a system that has no subwoofer in the trunk.

I don't know if they just leave off two channels in the amp, but it's the same amp, or what.

The marketing materials say there is some added DSP with the Beats system. I wonder where that lives? In the amp? In the headunit? In the subwoofer?

---

But back on topic: Did your Abarth have the Beats option? What kind of amp did you put in place of the OEM amp? Did you splice into the OEM wires, run new ones, or come up with a plug in harness?

Oh, so you had the "Alpine" system and it had this amp. (And I guess when you sold the C, you sold it with whatever aftermarket system you had put in it, in it.)

Did you just splice into the wiring, and not worry about putting stuff back one day? I would be tempted but I don't own my 500....
