It's interesting to read of some do and some do not have specific features but L or non L it seems all that DO will auto lock right at 14MPH.

Yep, I also have the Beats/uconnect 6.5 and of coarse the doors have auto lock/unlock with auto windows up/down (keyfob controled) Mine is the Trekking model - no sunroof manual trans

This is interesting. Both you and Midnightsun have Trekking with Uconnect 6.5 & Beats -- like me [edit -- just realized that Midnightsun has a Lounge].

Here is what my manual says about the automatic door locking (called "Autoclose"):

With this function active, the doors will automatically lock at when the vehicle's speed exceeds 12 mph (20 km/h).


To change the setting proceed as follows:


1. Briefly press the MENU button “On” or “Off” will flash on the display (according to the previous setting).


2. Press the UP or DOWN button for setting.


3. Briefly press the MENU button to go back to the menu screen, or press and hold the MENU button (approximately one second) to go back to the main screen without storing the settings.

Naturally, hitting the MENU button quickly just pulls up the regular EVIC menu ("First Page", etc.) -- nothing about Autoclose in there.

For good measure, I looked at every setting option in Uconnect, and did not find Autoclose in there either.

I have the non beats version and this is an option on mine. Now my windows dont go down with the key fob trick but I could be doing it wrong.

When the car is locked with all windows up, press and hold the unlock (top) button on your keyfob. The doors will unlock & after a few seconds the windows will all go down. You must not hesitate with the unlock button, make sure you keep holding it in for a few seconds and all the windows should go down at one time. Same with closing them. With all windows down and doors unlocked, press & hold the lock (center) button and the doors will lock & all the windows will rise at one time.

Right around 12-14 MPH, don't recall but it is above 10 and below 15...IF as SD stated it is enabled (which it is by default). Title changed also...makes more sense with the addition of "lock". Guessing autocorrect maybe got ya.

I notice when I look down I am at 14MPH just like when I look down and the snowflake pops at 37F, as it rolls over kind of thing it seems. Also not 100% sure on the L but assumed it the same as our cars.
