Got it, yeah, you're right. This one looks to be more appropriate -

Amazon.com: Parkworld 886344 Dryer 10-30 Plug Male to Household 5-15 (Generator 5-20) Receptacle Female Adapter Cord (ONLY Output 250 Volt) : Electronics

Typically I will only put 20-30 miles on the 500, but there will be occasions I'll need the full 80-100 miles and I don't want to get into a bind where I need to wait 20 hours to get fully recharged again. Faster recharging will make the car just that much more flexible, enjoyable, and reduce range anxiety.
I went ahead and bought that plug adapter a few weeks ago and used it to charge up the 500e with 220v a handful of times when slower 110v wouldn't cut it. Works great so far and at least 2x the charging speed - bit faster than that.

I now have less range anxiety as I know I can come home for a "quick" charge (quick is relative, but a lot quicker than 110v charging) if I have to run to multiple errand/job places in 1 day.

Hello guys its a pleasure to be here with all of you, my quotation is i have the original fiat charger which is 12 Amp (is that correct!!) 8 hours charging time .. i need to know if there any faster charger and is that safe on it !
i recently purchased a used 2017 Fiat 500e with 42K miles and I absolutely love this little car! The only change that I am tempted to make is to remove the useless back seats and configure it into a cargo area. But it is perfect for local commuting as long as you don’t want to carry much other than a driver and a passenger.

With respect to this thread, I want to absolutely confirm that the OEM EVSE that was shipped with my vehicle is capable of utilizing both 120V and 240V input. My EVSE is a Toyota unit and is marked 120V, but that marking appears to be solely because of the standard United States 5-15P wall plug on the end of the cable. It works just fine with a 240V input and charges roughly twice as fast compared to a 120V input. The OEM EVSE, itself, is limited to a current of 12A. It is my understanding that the Fiat can handle up to 28A, but you will have to purchase a new EVSE and have a wall receptacle wired for 30A or greater In order to use that capability. Or, of course, you can visit acommercial Level 2 charging station.

The prior owner of my home installed a 240V/20A feed to a NEMA 10-50R receptacle in the garage for a joiner/planer. I purchased an inexpensive 10-50P / 5-15R adapter from Amazon for $20 and I can now charge twice as fast as before. No issues at all and the equipment just gets barely warm, just like on a 120V feed. You will need to purchase an adapter that matches your 240V receptacle. Be certain to get a passthrough adapter, not a voltage converter. Otherwise you will still be charging at 120V And obtain zero benefit.

Pursue this at your own risk. But it is working perfectly for me — half the charging time for $20.
