My only concern would be the range in an electric 500. I mean, how far can you go camping while towing a trailer before draining the battery with such a load?

  I have seen folks pull light weight motorcycle trailers. Go with a hitch mount, bike rack.

I have a 500c, so I can't do a Sea Sucker, though very cool. I was told yesterday by the dealer that I can't do a tow hitch because my spare tire is in the way. Is this true?

I just got a Curt hitch (at www.curtmfg.com you can enter your vehicle and see their models) mounted on my daughters 500 Pop. It was installed by a Draw-Tite dealer. Draw-Tite apparently makes one for the 500 but it was backordered so he got the Curt, apparently it is EXACTLY the same. Be careful if you have a spare tire installed because some of the hitches like the Mopar model does not work with the spare tire! (Is that dumb or what?)

I got my answer. I should have read everyone's post first. Thanks FxEpic for sharing. Anyone but the dealer can do the hitch mount with the spare. I had to choose between driving my brand new cool cabrio or driving my truck and having my own bike for the weekend, not next year. Hitch mount all the way.

Yep, as long as the hitch is not made by MOPAR. That's why my parts guy gave me bad info, he was only aware of their hitch not working with the spare. So excited to be able to get hitched.
