I am referring to making some cross cuts in the rear plastic headlight cover so that the wires can be passed through it. If you do the assembly as I do you have to pass two, the one that feeds the ballast and then the one that goes from the control unit to the bulb. I didn't take pictures of my cover, but the idea is something similar to this attached.

Thanks for all these pictures and help, much appreciated

I received my LED Headlamp Kit and the W5W lights from XenonXtutti and fitted them on Sunday (well the headlamps anyway). As you will see from Rollerleg's pictures they come with two black boxes - the first is for LED drivers I believe and the 2nd for the Canbus? I tried with just the first box and they work perfectly so a significant reduction in cabling and black boxes. I have tried to fit the W5W bulbs but my hands are just too big to reach them so I am waiting for my daughter to pop around. She has very small hands and is a capable mechanic too! The headlights work really well with good cut off but the front still looks so weird with a mixture of nice white lights and a bit of yellow thrown in there! Remember don't order the (alleged) Osram H19 LEDs from FranceXenon as they are just standard H4s and the beam pattern is just rubbish. Even though I recovered my money via PayPal the French outfit still advertise them as being H19s and claim they are exactly the same as H19s!!!

Thank you for doing that test!

Personally I don't mind multi-colored lights. I think the back of a car looks fine with white, amber (signals) & red lights, & the front with white, yellow & amber.

Glad to hear you have the lights mounted. The two black boxes on it are:
1) Canbus adapter (required).
2) Ballast (recommended).

The ballast is responsible for adjusting voltages and providing the exact current to the led bulbs to optimize their operation. They can work without the ballast, but normally you will shorten the life of the bulbs.

Personally I recommend you to use it, but I am not able to tell you how much percent of the bulbs life you will lose.

In my case it is already mounted with both and I don't plan to dismount it again hehehe.

Wow! I bow to your superior knowledge on this. I just thought they work so that’s it. When I finally mount the W5W lights I will set it up correctly.

Is this legal in Spain without passing the vehicle inspection?

There are several companies that are responsible for doing it. It usually costs about 300 € (laboratory and technical drawings) + technical inspection to pass the changes to the car. Approximately 360€.

Hi. Yes, no problem. I think I could do it in 20 minutes now that I know how it's done. The ballast and electronics are hidden and can stay where they are. It's just a matter of changing some bulbs for others. I accept this "inconvenience" for the advantage in lighting and aesthetics they provide.

How did you manage to change the W5W?
Should they be turned and then pulled or just pulled or ...?
They are hard to get at, and I cannot get them out :(
You have to turn them clockwise about 90 degrees and then you can pull them backwards. Of course, it's good to have small hands because there's not much space. In my case my wife helped me because she has smaller hands than me and more skill ha ha.

Many thanks to Rollerleg, so valuable information!
Just wanted to add my experience now.
I have bought the new OSRAM LEDRIVING HL INTENSE H4/H19 6000K +350% 2022
LEDriving HL INTENSE H4/H19 | OSRAM Automotive
These are indeed compatible between H4 and H19 for the socket and for the beam.
Fitting within 10 min.
On our Fiat 500e 22kw Action give an original LED color, absolutely upgrading safety at night with great light!
