Greetings everyone!

You can now choose among 32 (and growing) seat belt webbing colors. We are NOT an upholstery shop with a sewing machine - we manufacture over 3,000 seat belts each month.

Our seat belt webbing replacement service has been going strong for many years but we are now branching out to vehicle specific forums like this one...and it's been a blast. Customers love being able to customize their seat belt color and personalize their car in a special way at a very low cost by comparison to most mods. We are running a special where it's only $110 per seat belt plus freight and turnaround is usually 48hrs or less. The only downside is being without your car few a few days! With freight and hazmat fees, a pair of seat belts usually runs around $300 or less.

The process is pretty simple:
  1. You choose your color of webbing (we send sample swatches if needed)
  2. You or your mechanic removes your seat belt and sends to us
  3. We use our specialized equipment to remove and replace the seat belt webbing
  4. You re-install and enjoy using your new seat belts
Because we use all the original buckle, tongue, D-ring and retractor, form/fit/function are guaranteed. As importantly, we are a true seat belt manufacturer and maintain all OEM seat belt labels, tags, etc so you are protected in case of a factory recall, etc.

Here are some examples to get your creative juices flowing. We'd love to get started on your project!

Hi Tedolph, you might have missed my response to your question on a previous post. We have tried and tried to get our hands on tri-color webbing but so far...no luck. We use hundreds of thousands of yards of webbing but there's just not enough market for us to run a special dye-lot of tri-color webbing. We haven't give up though.
We do have over 30 great colors though so let me know if any of those might work.

You can see them at: seatbeltplanet.com/shopping-cart/swatches/ Sorry I can't post the full address - we only have 4 posts so the forum won't allow a full link.

Hi Paul,

UPS requires us to charge a hazmat fee for the "pyrotechnic" or pre-tensioner retractors that were used after (mostly) 2007. They have a small explosive in them that causes the seat belt retractor to wind up a few inches of webbing in the miliseconds at the beginning of a crash. This takes out the slack and assists the airbag in doing it's job. Because it's classified as an explosive, like an airbag, UPS unfortunately requires us to charge a flat $32 for it. We actually have to send people through training for just this purpose.

We'd love to work with you on a seat belt customization project. PM me if interested in being our first forum customer!

Hi sloman911, good question. To put it simply, we just want the customer to be happy with the new color. If for some reason they are not, we'll swap the webbing for them. We send webbing swatches up front per the customer's request to help alleviate any color match issues. We have not had any failures in the field (or even any returns due to webbing color - web swatches, etc.)

With regards to the seat belt performance, we use all the original equipment hardware so the seat belts performance over time won't change after our work. You send the seat belt to us and we do the webbing swap in our lab. The seat belt webbing we use is made in the same webbing mill that makes webbing for the OE's. All of our seat belt webbing and even the sewing machines have been and are tested for strength compliance to FMVSS 209 (DOT regulation involving seat belt performance.)

I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any further questions.
