Problems with panoramic sunroof

Ever since the beginning of summer I noticed once my sunroof was fully opened that certains small but very annoying squeaks occured when rolling over uneven or damaged pavement with my car. The roof had never ever done this before. I returned to my studio to see what could be done because it was so annoying that I would leave it closed. On top of that, I was still awaiting for air conditiong parts for my L that have been back order since July. So as you can all imagine I traveled throughout the summer heat with the windows rolled down.
Supposedly, the studio mentioned that a few cases came to their attention and they resolved them by greasing the rails. Unfortunately this did not work for my case and after several trials they have decided finally to order a new set of window supports that hold the window in place on these rails. They believe that the squeaks come from the window support. They came to this conclusion after having properly torqued the screws holding the glass to their support which didn't solve the problem either. At least now my air conditioning unit has finally been repaired and works fine, finally!
I was just wondering if anyone that has an L with the sunroof has experienced a similar problem?

Like I mentioned before, I love my L and just hope that problems subside from now on.
Oh and by the way the Studio performed another flash on my L while I was there. Flash P42 supposedly was related to the heating system I was told.

Normal for all them. The small 500 does that too. That a lot of weight hanging over the roof. I tried getting mine fixed 3 years ago. Its just a bad design. Others on this forum, have had the same issue. I hate it when you drive over brick paved roads. I just turn up the radio.

Take a look at the door seals that are outside the window frames. On the 500 they are U-shaped. The inside edges of the U get dry and rub against each other. I put silicone grease inside the U and no more squeaks.

That's what the dealer supposedly did two and on two occasions! In fact on their first trial they made matters worst. What gets my goat is that this problem arose after time and if it is a conception problem, the problem should arise almost immediately. We'll see what transpires. Thanks guys!

Congrats on 10K and you are way less paranoid about oil changes than I am. I am getting ready to turn 6K and I am going in for my first service, I just can't take it anymore.
