Hi, I've seen that the VIN can be found un 2 places.

First on a small plate under the carpet in the boot.

Second. Stamped on the chassis below one of the doors covered by plástic trim.

Do you know how easy It is to remove and replace the section of trim?

Is this something I could do myself when testing a used vehicle?

Thanks!

Yes, you can typically find the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) in two places on a vehicle: on the dashboard on the driver's side of the vehicle and on the driver's side door jamb. Checking the VIN yourself is a relatively simple task that can be done during a test drive or inspection of the vehicle. It's also a good idea to take note of the VIN and run a vehicle history report to get more information about the vehicle's history, including any accidents, repairs, or other issues that may affect its value or safety and you can browse vinpit.com for VIN number lookup there. Overall, checking the VIN is an important step when buying a used vehicle, and it's something that you can easily do yourself with just a little bit of effort.
