love the details, better than tracking a UPS package, lol

FiatCares-thanks for the offer & rapid response. I PM'd the info to you & eagerly await your response...
Thanks again

AL: Got it..thanks..

Thanks for the quick first response

I called Chrysler Canada and I got they told me that only once I had the VIN could they give me information on the car.. The VON can only be looked up by the dealer...???
The studio should have given you the VON. A client cant look up the progress of his/her order without it..Once you have the VON, you can contacted Chrysler Canada and along with the family line code (which Canada can look up) they will be able to update you with the status.

I agree. However, how accurate is the info is the question? I guess I'll know soon.

Chrysler Insight Logistics page says mine remains at code JS (ship to storage) and has departed to the "VASC - Comodato Yard, MX". Guessing that translates to Vehicle Assembly Storage Complex, Accommodation Yard. The Toluca Intermodal facility operated by Kansas City Southern is literally across the street from the assembly complex. Still waiting for code KZ.

Im a Canadian customer and Fiat Canada say they cant give me any information with just my VON, they want a VIN.... not the best service Ive ever had - especially as Im giving them 30k!

Ive had the same experience with Chrysler Canada.. I spoke with my dealer and he said that when the Primas came to Canada that people could track their orders by calling Chrysler Canada but customers were getting mixed info on when it was coming and what Prima # they had ordered.. so they canned the system.. Looks like contacting your Dealer daily to get a order status is the only way, very disappointing

Still in storage in Toluca. I'm thinking next week sometime it will ship with others. They're already going to miss getting it to studios by March.

My Studio got their demo in for their grand opening this past Monday and Sergio Marchionne was in attendance for it also.

BTW, my dealership has been open since early last year but they were working out of the Ferrari dealership. The new FIAT Studio that is attached was completed a few weeks ago.

I think that was a one off for the Marchionne visit for the grand opening of that studio so they could showcase it there, but good none the less to see they have it. Hopefully we'll start to see them showing up at other studios sooner rather than later.

That particular dealership in our area is the flagship dealer for all of Canada because of it having Ferrari, Maserati and Fiat in one location.

My dealer was telling me that it seemed Fiat was waiting for something before they shipped out the first load of Abarths. Maybe that was it? I don't know. All I know is I'm a very impatient person and I want my Abarth yesterday. :)

You do know they are taking turns jumping rows of trains with the car in the rail yard, right? Congrats, I can smell the leather as we speak.

Yeah, it is painful to know my fully built Abarth is sitting in the yard in MX. At least I know there are a few others with it keeping it company until they depart, hopefully next week.

It also helps when the owner Remo Ferri personally knows Marchionne of FIAT and Montezemolo of Ferrari. They received their Abarth two weeks early so they could have it for the opening. I'd say Remo has a bit of pull.

I actually called the Maranello Studio in Ontario, Canada and talked to one of the sales guys there about the Grand Opening. He said they do not have a demo. The Abarth was brought just for the opening and then the FIAT guys took it with them when they left. I was trying to get them to look at the Abarth to confirm where the tow hook receptacles were located and found out then they didn't get to keep the one Sergio brought with him.

I am going to a Studio opening in the Quebec area next week and the Abarth is supposed to be there. Probably the same one that was at Maranello.....it is making the rounds. If it is there I will I will find out about the tow hooks for you Abarth01. If I can I will take a pic and post it.

yul
